What a peach!

One of the great things, I think, about having young children is that I get to re-read some of my favourite childhood books.

Today - which happens to be Roald Dahl day - I'm going to be reading James and the Giant Peach to my Superhero and Princess in celebration of it's 50 years anniversary.  Fab!

What are your favourite childhood books?

I would have to say that the book I read and reread is a book called 'I am David', I defy anyone not to cry at the very last line in the book!

I love The Jolly Postman! When I was teaching, I would come up with every possible excuse to read this book with the children and have them write their own letters for the postman. I love how every page is a letter with all the little pockets and hidden things in each envelope. My favourite book as a child was The Faraway Tree, and anything by Roald Dahl. Thanks for joining in with FAvourite Thing On A Friday, I really enjoyed coming over and reading your blog. Em xx
