Vintage Love :: Little Elephant

When I was a kid in the 70s my Grandmother had a large collection of these little chaps:
After much nagging she eventually let me take this little elephant home with me and he has had pride of place in my own home ever since.

Just recently I have noticed that lots of these little guys are popping up at Vintage Fairs, etc, so I think I am now going to start collecting my own little gang - how cute would that be?

Do you collect them too? What animals do you have?

Have fun. xx

How sweet! I must say I have never seen them before. I shall have to pay attention at flea markets and antique shops.

Join my blog for a give away if you wish.

Im late visitng WOYWWs, so am taking time to browse new posts too! Is that a Whimsie I see? I used to collect these too, they were 50p each and came in their own boxes; I had loads. Interesting that they're now vintage..bet they're more than 50p!
Hope you had fun taming the felt!

If they are much tinier than they appear in the photo, here in the states they have always came free in a box of tea bags. My granddaughter has been collecting them for 13 years and even though I don't care for the brand of tea bags, Red Rose, as grandmother's we tend to spoil. We've also managed to buy them at yard or vintage sales for around a dollar or less.
