Meet Me On Monday :: it's out of this world!

This week I'm:

Making :: a selection of flower corsages (I made this teal coloured version for Deanne. She already had the button - isn't it a great colour match?) I've challenged myself to list a new item on my Folksy shop everyday through May, so I've got a lot to make this week!
Up-cycling :: my favourite top into a rosette brooch, I'm so pleased that the lovely print gets to be worn for a little while longer
Growing :: geraniums. I love the smell, they remind me of my Grandad's green-house when I was little
Playing :: with my new stamps. I thought they would look great on my product labels
Cooking :: lemon curd tarts with blueberries, which were so scrummy that they were all eaten before I had a chance to take a snap!
Meeting :: the Mixed Bags aka the lovely ladies from the crafting group I attend and a fab day I had too
Learning :: how to make a shamballa style bracelet. I'll be making some more this week I think
Eating :: leek & potato soup with homemade cheese & onion scones followed by lemon cake at the craft group - perfect!
Loving :: the view of the cherry trees from my kitchen window. Even on a grey, wet (very wet), miserable day they still make me happy
Receiving :: a bunch of pretty tulips from Mr A
Excited :: because the lovely Lorna over at {dab and a dash.} posted a little interview with me during the week. Thanks so much Lorna
Visiting :: the National Space Centre (hence the blog title - lol), it was Am-A-Zing!

Favourite Things & A Monthly Make

We have a small Cherry Tree in our back garden, that my Mum & Dad gave Mr A & I as a house warming gift when we moved here nearly 10 years ago - which came into flower this week. This, coupled with the warmer weather and blue skies that we have been enjoying over the last couple of days, has really made it feel as if Spring has truly sprung!

Isn't it pretty? Many moons ago I was lucky enough to be working in Japan during the Cherry Blossom season and it was just so beautiful. It's such a shame that the flowers only last a couple of weeks,
so whilst it lasts, Cherry Blossom is definitely my Favourite Thing On A Friday

What's yours?

As well as giving me a pretty view from my kitchen window my little tree also gave me my inspiration for my March Project for the Monthly Make Challenge:
Based on the brooch shape I designed for Mr A's mum's birthday pressie, I added a little branch shape and embellished with tiny pink flower shaped sequins, for a bit of Spring colour. What do you think?

Did you make anything for the Monthly Make Challenge

Have fun. xx

Meet Me On Monday :: 4/12

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend - hope you had a good one? What did you get up to and what do you have planned for the week ahead?

Me? Well this week I'm:

Making :: a Cherry Blossom inspired brooch. Following on from my primrose design last week, I thought the shape would work well for a cherry blossom - what do you think?
Cooking :: Not much. It was Mr A's birthday at the weekend so we all went out for a family lunch yesterday, which was a nice treat.
Wearing :: a new hair cut. I've got a funky fringe now, get me!
Meeting :: the Crafty-Girls on Saturday for the monthly crop, really looking forward to it.
Loving :: the fact that the daffodil and snowdrop bulbs are starting to come up.
Watching :: Sherlock Holmes - again! I'm still trying to work out the twist... Did you watch it, what's your idea?

What's influencing you this week?  Do share.

Have fun xx
