Folksy Friday :: I Love Brooches

In case you haven't been able to tell - I Love Brooches! I love making them and I love wearing them. Felt brooches are my favourite, but I love all styles really. Take a look at all these lovely brooches found on Folksy this week:

Aren't they pretty? Do you like wearing brooches too?

Happy Friday.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday :: Cameo Brooches

Today I'm using my little tray again and doing some stitching in front of the TV! I'm making some more little cameo brooches and all the bits of felt are quite small, so I find it easier to work this way. I've designed a strawberry motif, in celebration of Wimbledon, an apple motif, as I thought this might make a lovely "gift for teacher" and an owl motif, well, just because really.

What do you think? I'll try and pop back later to show you the finished items!

So what's on your work-desk this sunny Wednesday morning?

For more Cameo Felt Brooches, check out my Folksy shop.

Have fun.

Meet Me On Monday (well Tuesday actually)

This week I'm:

Making :: some cameo style felt brooches with cute motifs
Growing :: a lilac tree. Unfortunately the flowers turned out to be white rather than lilac, but it is still very pretty
Eating :: banana bread with mascapone and summer fruits - oh my!
Loving :: fields of yellow - they make me so happy
Learning :: to crochet. I'm attempting to make a teal coloured granny square for my bed, as you can see, I haven't really got on very far
Buying :: some small plant pots for a new project - a little toadstool shaped pin cushion
Celebrating :: my Grandad's 90th Birthday xx

What are you up to this week?

Have fun. xx

Show & Tell :: Warkton Craft Market

First of all apologies for having been AWOL this week but I spent most of my time over the last 4 or 5 days preparing for my stall at Warkton Craft Market, which I attended yesterday:
Warkton Craft Market, which runs every month, is organised by the lovely Deanne & Michelle who work really hard to make it a lovely day out. There is always such a great mix of talented sellers, plenty of tea & coffee, plus uber scrummy cakes, making it a really nice event to attend either as a seller or a customer.

Yesterday I loaded my stall with my felt goodies, including my new felt cameo brooches:
and my cute little toadstool pin cushion:
My lovely mum (aka my partner-in-craft) came along to help and keep me company which gave her the opportunity to sell some of her crocheted creations, such as these cute little baby slippers:
and these sweet hair bands:
Did you attend any craft events yesterday?

Have fun. xx
